Project Manager for DiscountSteelBuildings.com

DiscountSteelBuildings.com will provide you with an essential individual, a project manager, who is instrumental in the success of your building project. The assignment of a project manager to your building is at no additional charge. Your project manager can answer any questions you may have and help resolve any issues that may arise.

Your project manager is an experienced steel building professional who has a number of duties and responsibilities. Once your building order is received he will confirm with you the basic geometry (length, width, height, etc.) of your building and finalize these dimensions. The next step will be to send out a color chart for your review in order to select exterior paneling and trim colors. At this point your project manager will verify the physical address for plans and building delivery with you. He will then mail out a comprehensive questionnaire about the building design criteria that asks about openings, building use, occupancy, ceilings and many other items that will help to finalize plans.
If you are working with an engineer or architect for your building your project manager is available to work directly with this person. The project manager will contact your city or county building department to verify the loads needed for your building. He will then send out a customer guide to you that will have direct pricing on any additional components you may want to correlate with your building. He will, at this time, also recommend the type of insulation that may be needed for the building. Once you have sent the layout and questionnaire back to your project manager he will go over the entire building with you. He will then take this information to an estimator to verify that the building is properly engineered to your requirements.

You will receive final cost estimates for your authorization and signature before any further work is scheduled. Once this is accomplished a drawing release date is obtained from the master schedule. If you are in the process of selecting an erector at this point, your project manager, upon request, can provide you with erectors’ contact information. Once you have received your building’s drawings your project manager will go over them with you. The shipping department will then contact you with preliminary C.O.D. costs.

Once your building is shipped and delivered to the jobsite the project manager will confirm with you that the building is complete. Your project manager continues his duties by being available to field any calls during the erection of your building and coordinate with the factory, if necessary, to ensure proper assembly. He will also help to resolve any local coding issues if they arise.

Your DiscountSteelBuildings.com project manager is critical to the proper design and assembly of your steel building. This free service is available to all of our direct customers worldwide.
