Self-Storage Building Systems: Adaptable as Necessary

June 7th, 2008

(continued from last week … )

If you are running a self-storage business and the demand for a particular storage unit size changes, then what options do you have? Does building these units with steel mean that you are stuck with fixed unit sizes? Fortunately, the answer is “No.” and, in fact, the opposite is true. Steel self-storage structures are highly adaptable. In other words, they feature changeable inner partitions so that the area of each section is capable of being altered; readily extendible to adapt for increasing the space of the original structure. Building endwalls are easily disconnected and the desired units added. The present building endwalls can be reused. In the self-storage configuration not needing internal columns frees up the use of larger area. As you can see, it’s smart to build with steel. Just because a structure is made of this durable metal does not mean that there is no potential for reconfiguration. The building is at your disposal and your discretion. As with all the buildings that we provide here at Discount Steel Buildings, they are made to adapt to what you need instead of you having to change what you want to fit a pre-determined and irreversible building design.
